YES WE TAKE INSURANCE!
Please know that most insurances will only cover 15 minutes of treatment time. Any additional use of heat lamps or other therapies like Hot or Cold packs may be included if time allows, however time usually does not allow for these other therapies. Please, allow for a 30 minute session at minimum at our office. We create a safe space for your healing journey.

Covers acupuncture for various insurance companies such as
- Kaiser
- Blue Cross/Shield
- Cigna
- Aetna
- Health Net
-and more*only select plans will cover acupuncture.
*ASH plans may or may not honor your full benefit, generally 24 visits are pre-approved per provider per year.* There is an additional $30 fee on all visits for non covered services that is not covered by insurance. (We can provide a sliding scale for members that qualify.)

WHAT DOES INSURANCE TYPICALLY COVER?
Insurance typically only covers acupuncture and will only very rarely cover TuiNa massage, GuaSha scraping, pneumatic Cupping, or Herbal medicine as with workers compensation and automobile accident benefits. You may choose to pay out of pocket for non-covered treatment options. You may add-on non covered services. We offer a discounted cash rate of 15%.
WHAT CONDITIONS DOES MY INSURANCE COVER?
Generally insurance covers musculoskeletal pain conditions and some nausea.
Insurance may also cover conditions deemed "Medically necessary" with referral from your primary care physician.
Insurance typically does not cover cupping or manual therapy.
HSA & FSA
Yes we accept HSA and FSA card payments, we also offer proof of payment with procedure codes, diagnosis codes, and payment rendered for your records and reimbursement(s).
Acupuncture is an approved medical expense for FSA and HSA accounts. Be sure to spend anything that doesn't roll over to the next year!
OUR FINANCIAL POLICY
There is a $30 fee on all office visits that encompass a global level of non covered services provided in your session ranging from moxa, guasha, cupping, thermal and manual procedures. The value you receive from these services is reflected in your attaining an optimal treatment outcome. We value your comfort and care and rely on our processes and policies for the coordination of service, technology, facilities, regulations, forms, coding and billing.
NON-COVERED EXPENSES
Our office is committed to providing the best treatment for our patients. You are directly responsible for payment of medical supplies, comfort items, additional time and procedures we use in the course of your treatment. You may be responsible for payment of charges reduced or denied due to the insurance company’s arbitrary determination. There may also be charges that your insurance does not cover due to limitations of your policy, or what they consider reasonable and necessary or deem to be experimental or investigational. It is your responsibility to know what the policy limitations are. Our goal is to improve your condition successfully based on what your doctor deems reasonable and necessary treatment, and not on what your policy limitations are. Therefore, unless you alert us prior to treatment, you will be financially responsible for non-covered expenses.
